Have you ever wondered . . . ?

  • What is Heaven really going to be like?
  • What will we look like?
  • What will we do every day?
  • Won’t Heaven get boring after a while?

The above is taken from the opening lines of Amazon’s review. Heaven is a subject that is rarely taught on except maybe a reference to Scripture as to where God abides. Since this is where a believer in Jesus Christ will abide forever, why is there such a dearth of theology written about it?

The format of the book is set up as a series of questions. You can skip around and find the answers to your questions. Consider one survey of several Systematic Theologies: “William Shedds’s three-volume Dogmatic Theology contains eighty-seven pages on eternal punishment, but only two on heaven” (Heaven by Randy Alcorn page 34)

Read through the book to see other references that are silent concerning Heaven. Fortunately, Scripture is not silent and has a lot to say about to the believer in Jesus Christ. Dr. Alcorn does a good job selecting questions that people have about heaven. If you have wondered about what the Bible says about Heaven, this is a great resource for you.

For someone who is suffering from a terminal disease, Phil 4:4 speaks loud and clear to me: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”[1]

The text says to rejoice in the Lord, not circumstances. This book will help you to rejoice in what God has in store for us.
